The club got out today and we all went to Paco's paradise. That dude found a great spot. While he was busy with a new technique I decided to see what the Doyboy was finding. He was just one cornrow over from me and we were just humming along when I would have sworn that the Tasmanian Devil buzzed close by a few feet from me. I said "Who goes there" Out of the corn pops Paco. He said "I just invented a new detecting technique and I'll inform you guys when and if I think it works" Just about then I got a high dime reading that turned out to be a worn Draped Bust Large Cent. That makes six for me this year. Incredible. I rounded out the day with the large cent, a 1935 Merc, 2 cool old marbles, 2 shanked buttons, a pocket knife and a musketball. Paco must have found a better technique because he found a colonial coin and a bunch of relics. I am going to informally call his new detecting style the TASMANIAN TECHNIQUE......Chris A.K.A. Zeus

Zeus, I was happy for your recovery. You know, I was the 1st dude to shower you with many handshakes. :D

The Tas. Technique worked though.

Paco was stating, while on the trip home, "We have to be the best in our county!"

I agreed, by stating, "You better frickin' believe it, dude!"

Nice hunt and finds, congrats! So what's the TAS technique? I might be able to use it here in the corn fields? HH, Mike

I think it consists of running like a bat out of hell to find the targets before your partners do. HeHeHe. ;)

Awesome day out there congrats for beating up on the boys!
Those marbles look like Benningtons, fairly valuable. Great finds!

Smiles!

Zeus, you are a great detectorist...and great uncle....hehehehe. :-* I wish you the best in future hunts. ;)

I did stop a few times today just to watch this great piece of history: the Tazmanian technique. On one occasion, I noticed KirkPA on his back rolling around and laughing uncontrollably. So, I asked him, "What's so funny?" He responded in hysterical fashion, "PACO!" while pointing towards Paco performing the new technique.
Paco did seem alittle singleminded in his pursuit of Coppas. He is a force of nature..Zeus

Thanks for the ID on the marbles. It is a Bennington marble. I had no idea. Zeus

Could the "TAZ" technique be "Takes After Zeus"? ;D
Great finds again Zeus.
Man, I'd love to see you guys invite the "Berg Gang" to Paco's site to MD with you, and the vice-versa.
Both of your groups come up with some fantastic finds, so I can't imagine what you could do together. ;D
Congrats,
MM

MM, it would be an honor to relic hunt with the "Berg Gang". Danimal could show me the workings of his latest purchase: the Ace 350. ;) They would also be able witness the non-stop "dude" dialogues between Paco and me.

All in all, I love those guys! :-*

Nice finds, Zeus!

You guys consistently produce the oldies!

Congratulations!

Ridley

Dudes, without sounding haughty, I can truly state, "We are the best in our county!" Zeus, zoyboy, and Paco would all agree. We know of no other dudes that can compete with the zoyboy's high-quality rasearch, let alone yank out over dozens of old coppas in so little time. Mr. Burke, the question is, will your Minelab clean up after us? hehehe

Thanks for tuning in for the adventures of "Bone Dry Detecting."

All in all, dudes, go find that wilver! :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

cool digs i really like those marbles congrats and hh

Kirk,
You must live in an awful small county. Population 4? ;D ;D ;D He, he, he. Just kidding, you guys cough up some amazing things up north. Including doughnuts. :P Kick some wilvers down this way. ;)

MM, dude, you are like the only dude on here that understands my humor. We definitely spend a lot of time researching...so far, Paco's research is catching up to Zoy's.

At the end of the day, Wilver Zeus, zoyboy, Paco, and I were all chatting about how no one else in our county is finding what we are. We all admitted, and don't let Zoy tell you differently, "We are the very BEST in this county!"

My response, "Hell Yeah!" hehehe
