Hello, :hello:

I have had a very slow season. :icon_scratch: I've been out but not finding much. Started searching this year around the end of march. By May I was out more than 7 times with no silver coins or jewelery. :dontknow: Just a few wheats and some older jeffersons and a buffalo or two. ??? Was not until June I found my first silver of the Year to a place Prolab69 took me. :icon_thumleft: There I found a 1946 Silver Washington quarter !! :headbang: I knew about the site but never went myself. :dontknow:

Anyway, some people said to me your saving up for a BIG find.... :icon_scratch: Well today we went to a park we have hit many times with not much luck and I have found.... :o A nice size Gold pinkie ring marked with an 18 and two stars. If anyone knows what they mean please tell me... :notworthy: Not sure what the two stars are but I presume its 18k. :hello2: It looked like 18k to me the 2nd I pulled it from the ground it weighs 9.1 grams.... :o I guess those people who said I was saving for a big find are right my dry spell ended with some great finds. :headbang: So even if your not finding stuff you could be saving for a big find, remember that. :icon_thumright:

Here are some pictures, enjoy !! :laughing7:
Keep @ it and HH !! :D ;D

wish my dry spell would end on the gold... Nice finds a little silver an a lotta Gold..

Wow...thats a keeper. I've found plenty of bogus marked "gold " jewelry and I'd bet everything that is GOLD!. First off it's old, really old like an earlier post stated. Also the weight is another indicator that it's real , 9 grams for a small ring means it's dense. Higher the karat the heavier the piece. That's probably 1930's or before....let us know. Good job!

so that explains it! im going to have a big find. :laughing9: congrats. willy

Great way to end the dry spell, that's a nice hunk of gold congrats! :icon_thumleft:

Love the stars.
I don't think that is a modern piece by any means.
The markings look old style.
A clue to modern fake marks is that they are usually plated after stamping,
leaving the stamp with 'rounded' edges.
You got close to the equivalent of an old $5 eagle there, (or a modern $10)
Likely would show signs of base metal, I'd put money on that being 18K.
Super find! my second reply

mmmmm mmmmm nice hunk of gold! congrats!
