Duckys Thread - Georgia Panning and Prospecting.

Dad had a biopsy done on the tumor in his lung on Wed. At the same time since they were already doing surgery, they put his Chemo port in. He is stage 3A, and the "A" means that its all in one lung. The doctor is reluctant to tell us how treatable it is until his biopsy results come in. I am finally home with my family and hope to see pop tomorrow. Things are starting to look up. ( about damn time) Got a 2000 VW wagon in the works for $1700. (HUGE trunk for prospecting equipment) it has 193k miles on it but i cant be picky at this point. it just needs to last me until tax season next year. I will try to ship Kevin and Dave some fans for their motors i gave them earlier this year. Took a wicked nap today after the plan ride and want to do nothing but sleep as i type. See you all tomorrow.

Thanks in advance, Ducky. Sorry to interrupt your dad and daughter date the other night. Times with your kids are so important. Right now, it is time with grandkids for me. I love going gold huntin' but if I have some thing with the grandkids, I almost always pass on the gold. I can do that later; grandkids I don't think I will ever get a chance to do an adequate make-up.

Soon the older boy can go with me looking for gold--that is double sweet. And of course, his younger sister wants to go, too, so the 3 year old declares he wants to come along. :) We'll see how it all turns out.

Hey!! I can see you posted in my thread but for some reason? I can't get into it. I just get a white screen. Anyhow, I looked at your profile to see what you posted and I'll respond here!:laughing7:

Thanks, And Sounds like a fun adventure! That would be a blast to go dig around some more!

If you used the apostrophe in your title of the lost it will not work, PM a mod or admin to get it fixed. It will show up on a phone though

Are you considering that for the car? Or just to experiment and run or charge things?

If it's to experiment with, don't waste your money. I might know a guy(hint hint) that has a few big panels that he would be willing to let one of them go! I don't think I have any regulator's in GA. But you can build one fairly easy. There are schematics all over online. Basically an IC chip, and a few other pieces parts and a soldering iron. I think they are at least 65 watt or more. I don't know what I have here right this second. About 1 foot by 4 foot panels. They came off of equipment I use to work on. You can have one if you want it. They won't really run much on their own. But you can build a battery charger, and run things off the battery or charge a car battery with it. Or build whatever!

i know alot of people use 12v batteries in their daily mining. this could be an option to recharging batteries in the field.

ohhh yaaaa...LOL this is a mining related forum. I wasn't thinking along those lines with portability!:laughing7: What i'm talking about won't fit in a backpack or car real easily. It would actually be a pain if it wasn't in a place where things had to be carried in and out.

I was editing when you posted. And got myself mixed up. If none of this makes sense. :laughing7:

Well got a call last night from my mom. Dad was home sobbing and in pain. Dr ordered him back to the hospital and diagnosed it as a severe throat infection. Caused big sores in his mouth. He couldn't even swallow his own spit and had to spit in a cup. They did a white blood cell count and what was supposed to be around 5,000 was 400. He is basically in lockdown from anyone other than my mother. Hopefully they can get the infection cleared up. I would like to go visit him but they would turn me away as soon as i signed in since he can have visitors.

I hope they get him some real pain relief along with successfully treating that infection. Sounds awful.

Boy oh boy, whatever cocktail of medication they had running through his IV last night made a 1000% difference for the better. Took him some clothes this morning as he had an accident last night and couldn't get up to the bathroom. He is up this morning eating oatmeal and telling stories of when he was a young boy in Kentucky . ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1440083060.404182.webp

You are awesome Duck.

That is great news, Ducky. It is really bad to see your parents spiral down due to medical problems. Hang in there; praying for your Dad.

Just scored 2 of these from work. 1/4" spacing, might try to make a self classifying fluid bed out of themImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1440184179.886003.webp

Going out tomorrow to try my go at the AMP sluice again. Bringing a new water proof off brand go pro with me to test it out. Will post updates.

Well, the AMP sluice just isn't made for my conditions :( I will be posting on the thread later of my experiences today

Update on pop. My mom took dad to the ER last night. he was not acting himself and was not speaking nonsense. She asked him to hand her the TV remote and he handed her a fork and muttered something. When she asked if he was feeling okay, he said his stomach did not hurt and neither did his minority report. he is now in ICU at kennestone hospital and has blood pressure of 88/43 and pulse ox around 85%. keep him and my mom both in your thoughts please. its been a long road for both of them. They are wondering if he has a GI bleed. He has been constipated due to excessive medications and chemo so if there is a bleed in his GI region, no one would know because it would just be absorbed.
