Kevin went down to Georgia. He was looking for some Gold to steal.
He was going blind from drinking too much Georgia Shine. He was wanting to hear a pig squeal.
He came across a young guy running a Bazooka Gold Trap and shoveling a lot.


Okay folks, let's see if you all can help finish the tune.

Here is what was in my sucker bottle. Haven't gone through the black sands yet. Working on it tonight. Not surprised Kevin got more than myself since he had 25 shovels in before I had my first scoop on the drop riffle.

Truth is I only got more because Ducky let me run his Bazooka, he's that kinda guy!

Also, we spent a fair amount of time exploring and sampling, it wasn't all production time Fun for me as a visitor to the area of course.

And here is the total for the day plus the gems I picked out with tweezers.

Blue kyanite, all the small sharp looking reddish ones are garnet, clear ones are what I think are topaz as they were under the black sand where everything else was mixed in with it.

Well folks, I'll be out of the prospecting game for a bit. Had a pretty nasty wreck on Wednesday and I'm out of a car and super sore. Everyone is fine. I was the only on in the car and only a young lady in the car I ran into. I crested a hill where a line of cars were stopped and was doing 45 when I hit her. Car is totaled but I'm alive. Thank god I did not have my kids with me.

Sounds very much like a wreck my wife had on I-65 about Clanton, Alabama. We were moving to Florida from the Air Force Academy, driving two cars and we topped a overpass in the rain and it was a parking lot. I was in a lane with a bit more room and stopped about 2 feet from the car in front. My wife did what you did. Man, I am sorry about that. Hope things get better for you soon.

I am glad it is just the car that is damaged. I enjoy your adventures and have been packing a gold pan in my pack every time I hit the creeks.. I refuse to think I have to go to Tellico or Coker creek.

Ugh of course it doesnt.... figures. Got a citation for following to close. i was going to dispute it but doesnt look like its worth the court fees.

Thanks for the offer sherry. I think ill just keep driving my wifes car at the moment. Trying to get enough to get a late 90's BMW that my brother scored at the auction. needs a starter which he is doing and wants $1500 for it.

Well guys, when it rains it pours eh? My dad was just diagnosed with lung cancer. he smoked from 10 years old in the hills of KY until he was 71. He will be 74 this year. Scheduling a biopsy and PET scan to see what stage he is in and to check to see if it has spread. Taking my wife and kids down to florida for a week come saturday.

Ugh, wish us luck.

PS: Anyone know of a place to pan near jacksonville?
