It was bloody HOT today! Got permission to check an old house tear down, appears to be an ash pit in the back yard after a bulldozer took 3 feet of dirt off the surface, saw the end of this bottle sticking up and pulled it out,NICE. No markings, anyone know about it? God Bless Chris

with no markings, it is very hard to date. it could be anywhere from 80-150 years old. its a super cool find though! and its probably worth $10-$20 at a flea market.

Take it to an established antique store in your area. They can date it for you. You may be really surprised at what they tell you...

Much older than 80 years old, it dates to 1850-70's and would have been for Ginger Beer or similar beverage. Worth about $10-20 as stated above without any stamps or color to it...

World, I agree with "E" most surely a beer/ale , could be a master ink,but they had a pour spout in the lip. Now on to the BIGGER question,,,,,, Did ya dig the pit ?????? 8-)

I agree that is a Ginger Beer. Got a few sitting around here myself. Always nice to fine. Too hot? Dig early in the morning. Good luck, maybe some really cool stuff nearby.
