Woof, would you say there is not alot to be gained by getting the omega if I already own the F5.

Depends. If you're someone who likes to collect metal detectors, the Omega is a nice unit to have. If on the other hand you aren't into collecting metal detectors, you've just got 3 or fewer and one of 'em is an F5, I wouldn't see the point in getting an Omega. Would make more sense to get something a lot different from an F5 for example a CZ3D, F75LTD, or Tek G2.
