The area marked freight on my map is where Jack found uniform buttons and stuff from the wagon. Forget what all he said he found in that spot.
When I was at the wagon site a large heard of elk ran through the meadow. I stood behind a tree trunk and they ran around me. 100 feet north of the spot I almost stepped on a large timber rattler. Not a good luck spot. Not for me or the soldiers. Some places are like that. Something wanted me out of there. Reminds me of some areas in the Superstition Mountains. Certain areas are sacred to the Apache and you will get a curse on your ass disturbing the spot. Happened to Alan Tree who was digging up graves and such. He turned in a lizard man. His skin turned into lizard skin and soon after he died. If I'm in a area with bad vibes I move on. Men have turned up in these spots missing their heads.

"Hog rifles" they were huge compared to Pa. grace in long rifles.
But still genius in that they not only could be built accurately and durably from iron ;but were.
If your piece is a tenon wedge the ramrod diameter in relation would make for quite the contrast of a skinny looking barrel in a plump stock.
Ignoring the evolution of the "golden means" of aesthetic balance in firearms building.

Contexts are frustrating at times.
IF the ramrod top was among the guard and other piece same depth then context is better established.
With some effort I might be convinced otherwise and consider the ramrod fracture may have been a seperate incident.
Those runs/drains been hunted and tramped a few times by varied other souls.

There are things about this story that make no sense. Why would they travel to St Mary's to avoid the Confederate army fighting in Gettysburg. That is a long trip north. Then take the wagons into the mountains around the Bell Draft area. True you can travel the ridge tops from St Mary's then you run out of ridge tops to get off the mountain. I walked that path detecting. Is this a case of DEI.
A bunch of stuff was found near the ambush spot including the skeletons. Discovered by the survey crew on the county border. Buried and later rediscovered by the guys digging the trench for the pipeline which runs exactly on the county border. The pipeline was not covered over in that spot. It's a big line about a yard wide. I wondered what it was used for. Two gold bars were found and that points to the story. Something happened in that spot. John told me that other than what Jack found im the only one he knew of that found anything there. I grid search. Several times I brought others with me. The Chief of my department would tell people I meet strangers on the Internet and take them to the mountains treasure hunting. Upon arrival they would all run down the exact same path without exception searching while I grid search the area. Not one of them found a thing. That is why there are trails. Humans take the easy way through the woods. I'm sure the soldiers did the same. That is until the incident. At the Dutchhunter Rendezvous couple years ago Terry Carter filmed me for his tube channel. One thing I talked about was getting up off your ass from the couch and do something. Every area has treasure stories. Not everyone can do that due to health issues. But they can offer advice on a site like tnet. Of course there are those who share nothing on what they are up to. That is not me. I don't see me going back to Bell Draft so why not pass info along. I have new interests in Arizona and doubt I'll ever return to Pennsylvania.

The gold other than the center piece was found in the Superstition Mountains on our claim by both my partners and I. Buckets of dirt run through my Gold Well sluice. The piece I'm holding belonged to a friend from the Lost Dutchman mine. Yes they found it and cleaned it out years ago. I don't recall the exact date on the pipeline may be the 70's but can't say for sure. I recall you writing that you don't watch TV. On episode one of the Legend of the Superstition mountains show on the History channel we were digging on my claim and they filmed the results. You can find it on the tube.

I missed where you said the pipeline is laid across the top of the ground instead of buried in that spot. That’s a sharp observation. That certainly is an indicator of an arch site at the least. The contour map shows a flat ridge top which COULD have been used by NA harvesting oak acorns.

I’ll have to look up the videos. I’ve never been one to get all excited about lost mines located outside my territory. There is too much potential within 20 minutes to 2 hours from my house. Fortunes made literally under the city streets and surrounding areas.
But I did grow up reading treasure magazine stories about the Superstition Mtns.

The pipeline was placed in the trench but not covered over it was left open in that area. Everywhere else it was covered. I wondered about that. Was it because of the skeletons? Did they intend to come back to look for the gold? If you see acorns there are squirrels. If there are squirrels there will be timber rattlers. I was very careful in those spots. Here in Arizona around water you need to be careful. Rattle snakes hang in those spots. waiting for lunch to arrive.

Jack said that the gold bars were 50 pounds each not 25. There were 50 bars not 25. He had 2 of the bars so he would know. He also told me he found the Lt's diary. The War Department had it.
The Silver King mine started casting 200 pound silver bars. Can't throw that in a saddle bag and ride off with it these were 25 pound bars that my friend had. He owns 1/4 of the mine.

This is worse than I thought. I watched a video that Dennis made with his son on the tube. He was explaining how he ended up at his gold bar site. A traveling psychic who did a show at his store used his powers to show Dennis where to look for the gold bars by punching a pen into a map. Now you have 2 choices after you think you have the site located. Dig them up. Move to Arizona. Buy a old gold mine and start finding gold. Or you can start running your mouth seeking fame. That's it the gold or fame you cannot have both. Flash forward you have the DEI FBI at the time get involved. This is not the FBI I knew who would never get involved with something like this. They would at least wait untill the gold started showing up. If this psychic was so good why did not predict this outcome? Before the FBI involvement Dennis was calling Jack then Jack would call me talking about what Dennis was up to. Jack was concerned that Dennis would find the main stash before him. After hearing what Dennis was doing I advised Jack not to worry. None of it made any sense.
At least today we are getting the DEI cleaned out of the FBI by President Trump.

They used that equipment on a TV show in Canada. A treasure indicated in a side of a well. Big treasure! Guess what no treasure either. Felt bad for them. It did not show them in a good light. The big chance for a TV series down the toilet. That equipment is flawed. If it worked I'd have it. Dennis told Jack it picked up iron chests not gold bars in that spot. The area is covered with iron stone. I found enough of it. John knew a guy in Texas who invented something similar that did work but he died. Ismael Jones in Australia took a Minelab SD2000 and added special mods. One of a kind. The 2000 puts out a wide deep signal on its own. With the mods it goes deep. The bigger the coil the deeper it will pick up. He would tow a huge coil looking for big gold in Australia. He is a friend of mine and sold it to me. I use a 25" coil on it. I used this unit in Bell Draft. Recently here in Arizona located something special. This equipment is not flawed. If it hits on a target something is there. Dennis has good intentions and I give him credit for getting out searching. My advice is don't get distracted with junk equipment. There is a guy here in Az who paid $10000 for a magic cane with a 1" head he claims finds gold bars 100 feet deep. Works through his cell phone. Finds them all over the Superstitions. The only problem is the 100 feet of solid rock covering them. Nothing dug up yet. This was featured in a movie recently. Lust for Gold. It was funny. The guys started fighting over gold bars they did not find yet. The movie was a flop.

Gold fever of the worse kind. People have killed over pyrite. Imagine finding a gold bar with the wrong partner out in the middle of nowhere. I really don't get excited over gold. If your out in the desert you have water and pile of gold bars. You can pick one. Water for me. I don't feel like carrying out gold bars. Some gold nuggets no problem. Even then I like to park nearby. My one claim was on a steep rocky waterfall. What a pain in the ass. This is why you need a buddy like Kieth. Throws it on his shoulder and off he goes. I think he is still getting gold from that bucket. Common sense and logic lacking in the lust for gold movie. Nothing there to begin with. The man with the magic cane went into his tent and fell asleep while the others ran around digging up the place. One is a attorney.

it just goes to show. the true nature of people you some times deal with. Can you imagine how bad the crap fight would be if actually found gold?

True morals, character, reliability, credibility, mental health, are all things that take years to truly trust or even understand. There are published statistics that are scary. Takes almost a decade to really figure it out. OK - if it sounds like I’ve been spooked, I won’t lie.

The harsh realty money, power and greed is a toxic mix. I have seen it totally destroy friendships, relationships over the years. I have worked for multinational companies and governments so ruthless they would cut your throat in a blink of eyelid if there was buck in it for them. And then lecture and virtue signal to you about morals as you bleed out in front of them.

Those was hard hard lessons to learn about the real world. I have one thing sacred in this world is I honor a deal. even if it to my own detriment. But if I am betrayed in a deal. then I am forced to become ruthless three fold? First for breaking the deal. Second for being greedy. Third to make example and a warming to others.

You're replowing ground long disturbed when it comes to Dennis vids. We're talking camera run in to a "cave" at the dig site prior.
Much was removed from TreasureNet when the rubber boots had to become waders.
So too the whys of where to run a heavy load of gold.

That the F.B.I. took the bait isn't that great a disappointment. It was decent bait to non treasure hunters.
And too there were issues in the locale related to the "searching" going on that demanded state (including it's conservation Dept.) action in surveying the claims of multiple interests. Mention in others vids included people who lived there's privacy and rights against trespass prior tom dig in an encounter(s).

If the F.B.I. put out feelers it would have had multiple indicators there were multiple things going on.
When eventually shown an alleged legitimate equipment report alleging vast quantity (s) of certain potential metal(s) value(s).... Away we go.
But selling appears easier than producing.

Then when the invited into the fiasco F.B.I. departed ; suddenly the accusation of gold "bars" theft popped up right away.
Enter picture(s)( now deleted ) of an aircraft and bars on the deck as if spilled.
Who posted the pic and made the accusation? Think salesman again.

That's just some of it.
Dig enough if most easy viewing isn't erased as much as it has been on this site is and you'll start sniffing and checking your boot soles.
