It's been a minute since I posted. I haven't done much hunting for artifacts lately. Busy! I do have a few run of the mill pieces that are pretty interesting. Nothing special, but something.

A couple of preforms. One was started using the poorest lithic I have ever seen.

And... What I think is a game stone. I can't be totally sure, however.

Clay marbles.

That comment about telling the difference by how perfectly round it is was quite funny.

It sheds water and is defiantly not glazed. The one small salt glazed marble I found is perfectly round. I can only speak for that one, however. Thanks for showing interest, all of you guys!!

OK.. most of mine aren't.
I guess it's a Native American marble.

Nice game stone. If it was perfect in the round shape I would say historic marble. Most old NA game stones wont be perfect in shape.

This statement was repeated from a expert that looked at my artifacts over the summer, so laugh away. And it says (most).

Rock, I hope you don't think I'm laughing. I appreciate your input. I would think you are walking along the right track. The native pieces would have more weathering. Your statement may not hold true in every occasion, but for a person that knows game stones through and through, imperfections would probably be a huge break in identification.

Nice pieces. I am unsure if I have marbles or just round rocks or gamestones :) Cheers.I have not had time for much of anything and have my 4 wheeler in a million pieces.

What's up with your 4 wheeler? Sorry to hear about that. It seems like I'm wrenching on something at all times. My 4 wheeler is my next project. Mine only needs tuning up. I'm a grease monkey. I enjoy wrenching on stuff. Wrenching and gathering rocks, and an occasional artifact! Simple old country dude.
