Finally an early site - That actually had something

IH and I being fed up at looking at the same fields we've done and driven by again and again decided to keep driving until we got into the land of the unfamiliar.... and it worked! IH dug the best find in the first 5 minutes which left me scrambling the rest of the day to try and catch up, or at least dig something interesting. At the new site I could just not get over many coin signals and it was starting to tick me off because IH wasn't having any problem at all, but as how detecting can go we stop at a site we did a few years ago and my coil decided to wake up and I dug 4 coppers. (6 total for the day)

My find of the day was this 1700s Navy button.

Reading your post it just hit me... I believe there is an American one that's very similar. I can't remember where I seen it, but it made me think if some of the ones I have dug in the past maybe weren't all British. I wish I could remember where I seen that info. and how good it seemed, but was quite a few years ago.

Yeah we're looking at new areas and I'm now doing a little research. Just sick of the scouting missions like when you were here, because it wasn't working.

I have found at least a couple better then that one.
