Finally found a bank to sell me a bag of halves fresh of the counter!

Hello all, I needed a decent score, it has been a long time. I got super excited because I had heard a few silvers before I ever saw the bag... Then when he plopped the bag on the counter, I saw 4 or 5 immediately. Overall I was happy, but I must admit I was thinking there would be much more. 20 silvers total, 1 of which was a 90%, and the other 19-40%'ers. There were also about 5 different foreign. None of which were silver, three tokens, almost 2 bucks of pennys, nickels, dimes and 1 quarter. Those bags are quite nasty, you also got finger/toe nails, pocket lint, and crumbs from god knows what.

Oh yeah, just thought I would mention this as well, the teller was a bit reluctant to sell it to me, cause if it is off she said..... I told her I am willing to take the chance that it might be off by a few bucks. I said, if it is heavey I will bring any extra coin back. She said, NO! you cannot do that. We sell you the bag like that, and if you bring us back any extra money, we would then be over and we would rather just stay balanced

The first bag of halves that I did ($1k) had a dozen foreign coins + tokens + pennies. As a result, it was "short" $6. I can use the car wash tokens and I could nearly break even on the mexican coins. There were 5 silver (one 90%). So, that bag was a win (small win, but a win).

The second bag ($500) that I did had 1 '67 Ken. It only had 951 halves. There were 3 foreign coins and $14.37 in 0.25, 0.10, 0.05, and 0.01 US coin (no silver, no wheats, no key dates). Not every coin in the bag counted as a half as there were more than 49 extraneous coins. All in all, this bag was a net loss.

Bags on general produce more silver than boxes where I am. I have been doing bags since 2009 and my totals are on par with searchers who do 5 times or more than I do on a weekly basis. The cons to doing bags are you will most always get shorted with tokens, foreign coins and other junk or just by the count being off. You will get nasty stuff in your bags like teeth, fingernails, pins, ect., you get the point. The other down side is if another CRH is in your area and using the machine, you are going to get his dumps. But over time I have found more with bags. Good luck.

ya bags are disgusting. my last bag had chips and and other things I dont want to remember. i had to vacuum my room after i finished because it was that bad. It was 1 am but I couldnt leave my floor all gross
