015.webp017.webp007.webp010.webp014.webpHad about two hours or so this evening to hunt, did pretty good for the time I had by my standards. Finally got my first eagle cent and found a toasted large cent of some kind, but I will never know what it is,it is gone, "Damn You Fertilizer".The eagle cent is pretty rough too, but I was happy to get a date.It turned out to be 1858.It was like scratching a lottery ticket while I was cleaning it,'I was thinking come on 56" but that would have been to good to be true:).It is a first for me, so I am pretty happy with it.Thanks for looking- HH

Congrats on the FE man! It cleaned up pretty good. Same date as the one I found, but mine Isn't in as good of shape as yours!

Congrats on your first Flying Eagle

Great find. Those aren't easy to come by.

Welcome to the club DI2. I dug my first in a U.S. Colored Troop CW site near Nashville in 2013. WTG, Q.

Super nice find!!

Well, I had to go and dig mine out. So here it is! It's pretty toasted, but with a magnifier, I can see 858 where the date isFE 004.webp
