Fine gold recovery

Hey fellas I have a bunch of fine gold in dirt and black sands mixed,about 1/2 gallon of the stuff. It's loaded with gold!! I mean several ounces loaded. Mercury doesn't seem to help much. Any ideas to get it out of the dirt and sand? blue bowl,micro sluice? Thanks.

This is what I am using as we speak. I literally have to use a magnifying glass to see the gold, it catches it so small. The drop should be 1" per foot. Gold Mining Equipment Black Magic Fine Gold Recovery

I like the blue bowl. Works very well when properlly set up and run. Sound like very rich material you have. Go to the prospecting channal on the web and go to programs and look for the blue bowl video. Rob Goreham does the video.

Here is a pic I took five minutes ago. It is really hard to hold magnifying glass, camera, and snuffer bottle at the same time, so please forgive the image. The piece of gold I am trying to show you is in front of the nozzle for the snuffer bottle and a wee bit to the right.

Kazcoro do you know if the matt or rubber can be purchased by its self? Does it have a name?

No, I tried to replicate it with drawer liner before I bought this one, and no go. It looks like a rubber mat, but the texture is like the indoor outdoor carpet, but on a micro scale. I am sure exactly what the material is is a proprietary secret. If you are looking for cheap, this is it. If you need cheaper than that, you will have to make your own.

It's glued on. You can try calling down to the shop on Monday and asking the guys. They don't open until ten AZ time.

Surprised that no one has mentioned using a good 'ol Miller Table. The
gold I've been working is very, very fine, and in most cases I need a
magnifying glass to even locate it...too small to see with the naked eye.

Getting some materials next week as I plan to build about a dozen of
them for resale, and prices will be equal to or less than other systems.
Not hard to set up for recirculating, and you won't miss so much as the
tiniest spec.

No doubt that the Gold Magic will do a bang-up job of those cons
as well. I do wish they would make it with a dark green bottom instead
of the black, as I can see the gold much much better against the
green.

A homemade setup will work too. Try looking up something along the lines of a low profile ribbed matting micro sluice. Many including myself have made and use them with great success.

Sure is, but I hadn't looked at the link...oops.

Looked at those small units before I built mine, and found
that I preferred the wider, longer table I built.
