Was driving around Sunday looking for random spots and found a pretty good one. Got a large cent which is in pretty rough condition but is still awesome!! 1843! Also got a 38 merc with a gash on the top and a Otto Brandt seltzer bottle top? As far as I know it's a bottling company that was around from the late 1800's to around 1910. Ended up being an awesome day, as usual I can't wait to get back out there!!

Congrats on your first Large Cent. I remember when I bought my first metal detector in 1985 I really wanted to dig a Large Cent. Took me several years to get one, but I have dug plenty since!

It looks like your day turned out pretty Sweet,.

You found an LC with the Etrac ? ::)
Haha! congrats on a super find
Nice silver & cool siphon too

Grats on the LC. Do the 2 locks have anything on them I have one I found the was stamped L&N RR?

Thanks for the replies everyone!

I haven't got a chance to clean up the locks much so there could possibly be letters in places I can't see, but I am seeing a ribbon looking symbol right below the swinging arm.

great finds, congrats on the first Large Cent, as stated above, you won't forget that one :hello2:

Congrats on your first Largie. The E-Trac is a Copper Magnet. If you want to see a bunch check out our website and videos. We got more to add too. You start seeing that 12-46 and Oh Boy !

Re: first ever large cent! - Congrats, hope that it is the first of many.

It took me over 30 years to find my first one. Luckily, once I figured out where to look I found four more the next year.
