That is an awesome piece cat thanks for sharing !!!!

Toads were so loud in my backyard pond at night I can't believe my neighbors don't call the police, hahahahaha!!!! (Southern Toad)

Go Toads!

Yes, awesome piece of pottery!

Go Kat!

Man I love the designs and pigmentation on your pottery. And... why were you hunting toads? is there something we should know? ;) Yak

Nice looking shard. Im glad to see the frogs and toads are making a return. For a while there they were dying off due to a disease. I saw plenty of frogs today big and small.

Painterx7....thank you. :)

Yes, tomclark...must have been having a toad pond party in your back yard :happysmiley:

Yakker, I was planning on making toad pie.....no, just wanted to see who was making all the noise and polliwogs.;)

Yeah rock...it's good the toad & frog population is healthy....just wish those Bull frogs wouldn't eat everything in sight...even snakes! lol

Toad Pie Yummy!
I have seen them eat a snake before when I was a kid. I seen one yesterday hoping and thought it was a rabbit till I caught a glimpse of it. It was making alls kind of noise in the bushes. I was glad it was gone, lol. I was by myself many miles from any house.

Nice sherd Kat:thumbsup: and around here frogs had better watch out are they will get dropped in hot grease and then on a plate. Love me some fried frog legs.:laughing7:

You do get the pretty pottery that tells stories. I admit to doing a little frogging when out in Texas. The tree frogs are what is loud here right now.:notworthy:

Funny rock...but :tongue1: on the pie thing...lol Wow, you saw a toad eat a snake? We saw a frog do that once & vice versa. Next time you're away from home be careful of those killer toads. ;)

monsterrack...thanks :)....and really on the frog legs? Never had any, taste like chicken?

Hi Tn..:) Do your tree frogs look like this.....DSCN1284.webp...we have this kind and oh yeah...they're loud...but we don't really hear them until it rains...& it still hasn't. :(

I am for real on the frog legs and they taste better than chicken, but that is Bull frog legs they are much larger than most Toads and all the seafood places sell them in this part of the south.

I saw a frog eat a snake not a toad. This large frog was sitting on a rock in a creek and a small snake swam by and the frog got him. I still remember it and I was probably 8. We didnt go near the frog after that.
In the bushes was a large frog the other day.

monsterrack....better than chicken?...wow must be tasty! Don't know if I could "down" it though...because of how they look & feel.:tongue3:..I know...I'm the chicken! lol

rock....sorry thought you meant a Toad. I know what you mean about the frogs....they are aggressive! Just wiggling a finger at them can causes an attack....so easy to catch'em that way! I lure them in with a toss of a small stick, they come close then just drag a twig or wiggle a finger and presto...."frog-on-the finger"...dinner anyone? lol
