I always think to myself, What would I be doing to take a ring off. sports... base ball, outside basketball courts, I found my first ring today at the military obstacle course in the woods, so it has been sitting there for a very long time. I'm sure you heard these things before, but just a tip. I always need tips on where to find coins so feel free to leave me one too

Congratulations!!!!

Cool Find,,always excited to find any type of treasure

Nice start - good luck and hope you get many more!

Congrats! :hello2:

Nice ring. I became truly hooked with my 1st ring (5 years ago). Here's a photo of my 1st ring case...took just about 13 months of beach hunting to fill. I'm on #6 or 7 now...lost track a bit since I sold some of the common bands to the refinery.

Give me a PM and I can tell you where I bought my cases in case you want to check them out.

congrats and here's to many more to come :occasion14:

That's an interesting ring...and your "FIRST". Great!

I'll share two things to help celebrate. My first ring was a gold "Art Carve" upscale wedding band. Must of been there for years as deep as it was. I found it about 30 feet behind First Base at a city baseball field. I'm guessing when the outfielder pulled off her glove, the ring came with it, so check those ball fields...

I'm finding smaller and thinner 10kt gold bands by allowing the detector to sound on "Foil". Plus, the large college rings seem to have a really weird sound, not like an average wedding band. I've found a baby ring and two Jr. High size rings because of this change in my detecting settings.

Keep up the good work. Rings can be few and far between, but what a mental ride when you see that shiny color of silver or gold peeking through the dry dirt!!

Neat ring, looks like a custom, not always marked.
Test kit is a good investment, under 15 bucks on epay,
Bill mentions artcarved rings, I've found a couple, they patented the seamless wedding band in the 1800s
so can be quite old.
Keep the finds comin :icon_thumleft:
