Found my first SILVER!!

Got my uMax Silver about a week ago and have looked mostly in the park I live on (neighborhood built in the 40s). Finding mostly popcans run over by the lawnmower in the park... getting a bit frustrated with digging any holes out there. In my back/side yard I have found many nails and 1 penny! Tried my front yard for about a half hour today and got all of this!



I found the 1966 quarter first and soooo sad! lol The silver quarter came just a few holes later and I couldnt believe how SHINY the thing came outta the ground! Pretty darn good mix of coins/junk this dig. Nothing like the park.. The spot I found it all in the front yard was like 9ft x 9ft and my reason for searching was "If I were a kid I would have climbed this tree" the tree now is huge, but its a perfect climbing tree One penny is a wheat too!

SO PUMPED!! I cant believe I finally found something good! Wish this weather would go away so I can get back out in the yard

Thanks! I only own silver dimes, so this is my first silver quarter ever
Went out later and found another wheat penny, 2 dimes (not silver) and lots of junkers =P someone spilt a lot of change in my front yard!

I've been following your posts about being frustrated and I knew that with time and patience you would eventually start finding good stuff. It will just keep getting better now! Remember to keep your coil low and swing slow!

Found my first silver this year also and I had it graded since it was a semi key date and mint mark barber dime o mint mark 1893. I learned a good lesson it was graded extra fine but had marks on face from rubbing dirt off to see what it was. I will never do that again
