I took Friday off to hang out with my younger brother Rich, who just flew in from Colorado for a couple weeks. We usually try to get out with the detectors when he visits. We ended up going to the site where I found several large dandy buttons and three coppers a couple weeks ago. The field is still in corn stubble and the weeds are getting to the point where you can barely push the coil through them but we found a few things. I got an 1829 LC, an 1859 IH, several buttons a cufflink, a thimble, and a spoon handle. Rich found an 1810 LC in pretty rough shape and a small lead filled rosette. The cuff link has a design, but I can't make it out.
The next day we went to a pounded French & Indian War / tavern site. The only interesting find was the neck of a colonial bottle that Rich found in a small stream that runs through the site.
