Yea, if you go in water without the headphones hooked up there should have been a black plastic cap that came with the AT-Pro.

The black cap keeps sand out of the headphone jack, it's not required, but recommended.

I just bought the ACE350 and arived in mail from Kellyco, wounder if I should have waited now! I guess I'll be ok. This is my first detector. Hope I chose well enough. Guess I'll find out?

I forgot that its not a plug per say. That the caps that came with detector are screwed on. It's been so long that I touched the jacks I forgot. Lol

You can return it to KellyCo. And upgrade. They do want to make sure you got the detector you want. I think you've got seven days.

Its not a bad detector. But I wanted more. I wanted Numbers, waterproof, more tweeks like iron etc. After watching many videos on the AT Pro I was I got to get it.

I hope so, I bought my first detector from KellyCo. It was the Ace350. It is a good machine but I live by the ocean and wanted to be able to hunt on the wet sand as well as the dry. The Ace350 is only for dry sand so a month later I ordered an AT-Pro and I never regretted it. Now I use the Ace 350 as a loaner for friends that want to go detecting with me. I could have saved a bit of money if I just got the AT-Pro first.

Same here I live by the cost really needed it for wet sand also.

You will like that machine it's a coin magnet. My first silver with it was a barber dime. It will find the good stuff. The reason I bought at pro was the iron audio and pro mode. You will find enough to upgrade in a few months if ya keep at it. Good luck.

When they were all I had I would pull the hood of the raincoat over them. The thing that proved to be better was to slide a clear piece of a plastic bag that was shaped more like a tube than a bag. I lucked out and found it in some packaging stuff in a box that was sent to me. But the best solution was to get those Anphibian headphones. Now I only need one set of headphones weather I am in the rain, in the ocean or hunting dry land.

I know a good set of phones are important but I wonder about cost. I was told not much difference from ghost to another set at prospecting store. Cost difference was only 40.
Is the ghost WP?

Hmmm as far as I know which isn't too much is that so far gray ghost only made one pair at pro

You know the 350 is a great starter though to have. Many start in hobby and then stop or do once in awhile. I've talked to guys that haven't touched there's in 20 years. I just ask, Why? Lol
If I didn't get my ATG I was getting the Pro. I knew I wanted to do this hobby since I've got way too much time on my hands. Plus I wanted to start prospecting but didn't want to spend a fortune. Any detector can find gold if you know where to look. Nugget wise. Then again, ring, necklace, earring wise. Lol. That's why we do this. Now if I can track down a lost cache. I'd get my next detector.

I just tested it mine does the same as you said. That is weired is that y I miss targets sometimes

So when you move your coil OFF the target and hit the pinpoint button you get a tone right away?

You're not missing targets because of pinpointing... If you get a hit then there's something there.
Do an X pattern and you'll find it..

I just went into my garage and tested mine.
I first made sure the area was clear of all metal and moved the coil around (no beeping)
Then I pressed the pinpoint button. I got a momentary beep, and then silence. When I tilted the coil with the pinpoint button still depressed the machine was still silent.
Did you make sure your cable was not lose and wobbling around? Also check batteries and make sure the connectors are tightened down and fully seated.
