Wow! That is sure a large amount of finds for eight hours of searching! Do you think these were disposed of before a surrender? I see many dog tags and eagle pins.

Thank you for sharing your photos with us,
Steve

Wow! Lots of neat stuff.

Good to see you posting again!

Looks like a good 8 hours.

What did you find, the supply tent or the
hospital?
Way to go!
Bandage that digging hand up and go at
it again!

That is an amazing amount of German Nazi war relics, congrats! I have 1 intact German ID tag with no name and one of those aluminum eagles holding a swastika in great condition, my best Nazi find. Is this a battle field you are detecting or what type of area is it? Thanks for the pictures and HH, Mike

That is NOT GOOD results....THAT is FANTASTIC results!!!!

You need a truck to carry all that. Amazing , Fantastic!

HH Joe

I not that interested in modern stuff but thats amazing. I wouldn't mind digging that amount :o

I had a couple of questions on what certain items were. The item I circled in red, is it a Battle Shield? If so what battle? The item I circled in yellow, is this an oak leaf, and what do they signify? I tried to look up some answers but didn't find any information yet.

It looks to me as if about 20 officers dumped their uniforms and I.D. tags before being captured so they wouldn't stand out as officers and be interrogated as such. Thank you very much,

Steve

The item in yellow is indeed a portion of the oak leaf that surrounds the cockade on the front of officers hats. Thats a fragment of one, there are several complete ones in the photo and the little circles off to the right pinned in the center of them.
The item in red I've never seen before, it's not a battle shield and doesn't look nazi. In fact, it looks more Italian Fascist inspired. Some kind of eastern home-grown Fascist device? Italian political?
Whatever it is, it's probably damn rare.

you found a great dump site A+ HH

wonderful finds. Wish I had a metal detector while I was in Germany back in the late 81. Hope you find alot more.

There were a few Italian units on the eastern front. Fantastic digs. Wonder if you could find out if any of those gentlemen are still alive?
