First time going to buy some half dollar rolls from my bank. I thought they would laugh at me since we are a small town. But she just smiled and said how many would you like haha. Ill let you guys know if i find anything good

Since it is only 6 rolls, it will take you less than 2 minutes to look at them, even searching all dates. So, when you are done.

1) Don't bring them back to the same bank. You want to get MORE from this bank whenever they have them, so you become a buyer, not a seller of halves to them. Even if you deposit them into the same named bank but a different branch, don't take them to the same branch

2) Let them know that if they get more, you want them. DOn't say "I want the silver ones" or they will be alerted that silver exists. Just say "I want ALL the halves that you get". then they will actually start SAVING THEM for you. Especially in a small community. Get all they have, and if it is more than you can afford, get what you can, tell them you'll be back, search them, take the ones you don't want to a branch in a grocery store and ask to turn them in, and go back for the rest. Become their "go to" guy for buying halves. It will pay off over time.

3) Have fun with it. I hope you strike it rich.

Well, i bought just 5 rolls from them. Im pretty sure she said she had 10 rolls. So 200 coins. Ill go back on thursday and buy the rest. I got skunked though. Nothing good in any of them...NOTHING!

I can afford whatever. Do they get new ones from the FR? Or do people have to turn them in? I can return to them any bank, without having an account there correct?

To return them you may need an account. But an account usually isn't necessary to buy them.

if they are machine wrapped, i've done 4 boxes ($2,000) so far this year in machine wrapped half dollars which produced:

So all buy all the next ones. I had a few 1974's with no mark on them. So i didnt know if they were p, d, or s. Is that normal?

So how do i go about exchanging the coins that i got. I got no keepers in them. So i bring them to a different bank? other than the one i got them from, and then go buy more? Also should i ask for hand wrapped ones and not federally wrapped halves Do i just use one bank to dump?? Idk what to do!
