Got Flipped Off While Detecting Today!

[emoji23] Pretty funny. Not sure what this weird pendant went to.

Got out for a while today. Nothing ground breaking but my favorite find was this commemorative Canadian dollar from 1983.



It was commissioned by the board of trade in Lunenburg (2,000 person town in Nova Scotia) to commemorate the visit of Prince Charles and Princess Diana. What this coin was doing laying on top of the ground in Seattle 36 years later is anyone’s guess.

I also found a few Wheats and a KGVI Canadian penny.



All in all, a weird and fun little outing.

Nice finds Wash. I like that commemorative coin. Your toy Jeep, is a Tootsie toy. That particular one is from the 50's and 60's. Those toys are always fun to find.

I had something similar. If you can clean the pendant, you may find the words "for all my loving friends" around the edge. Mine is a free-standing hand and it is from the 60s.

I don’t think anyone has truly flipped me off for detecting before but I’ve definitely had some folks get irrationally angry for no good reason. Sorry to hear it’s tough over there. I had to get a waterproof machine so I could hunt all weather out here because our rainy season is so extended.
