Gulf Shores 1st day

Clad, bolt, room key, and a gold pop tab in about an 1 hour hunt. Gold pull tabs? Is that a cruel joke or what?
Having a great time, but I would love to find more. Any tips?

If you are at Gulf Shores Alabama you did good. I have hunted there for years and you did very well. After the Hurricane in 2005 a lot of the finds got swept away. The water was 10 ft deep across the entire coastline.

Wait till August , there’ll be stuff everywhere. I hunted my beach in New Hampshire yesterday, got there at 5am and there were another 8 guys beepin’ and I didn’t find much in 5 hrs. Couple bucks in clad and some costume jewelry. But when I’m there for a week in August the beach will be paved in clad

I tried hitting the wet sand during low tide but I don’t think my stick is made for salt water. I got a lot of false readings. It just drove me nuts. But dry sand was a lot different. I was dinging stuff deeper than I have hit before. I had a blast.

only tip I could give would be get a water machine
less guys hit the water than the dry sand and theres usually more finds and better finds in the wet stuff
this is just gold from one year - all water finds

Yes Casper... we know...you’re the man.

I knew that was where the good stuff was. It was red flagged the first couple of days. People where barely able to keep their swimsuits on. I can only imagine what was ripped from their persons. It was funny to watch them get tossed around like rag weeds out there.
