hole in pin pointer

I found a small hole in the end of my pin pointer, has anyone found a fix??

Clean well with Q- tip dipped in acetone. Mix 2 part NON-METALLIC epoxy and cover hole provided it is small. Then smear epoxy around the tip and cover with a plastic thread protector. Should buy you quite some time. You can always replace the thread protector from time to time by shaving off only the flat end as it too will eventually wear out. But hey, beats another hundred bucks, right?
