I don't stay on this forum. Something happened last night.

Well, I think I know what the "bad" feeling was about.

Last Friday I lost my wallet, containing banking cards, credit cards, driver's license, VA card, and probably more than I realize right now. Didn't discover it lost until this morning. My brother drove up, took me to town this morning. Went to the state DMV, notified them. Then to the bank and froze all my accounts until l get replacement cards. Went to various places I'd been to the day I lost my wallet.

Wow, quite a punch in the guts! I have two dollars in my pocket and no access to funds - except my banks of coins - luckily I have been saving my spare change for years! I'll be packing rolls of quarters in my pockets till this gets straightened out.....

Never lost a wallet before.....

I've been asked to write the Judge a letter regarding the identity theft of a vulnerable cancer patient by some one who was presenting themselves as a supportive friend.

The preying on the most vulnerable of our society I find offensive.
Separating emotion and not declaring guilt while seeking brevity is the order here.

Hopefully that helps lighten your inconvenience a little.
Of course I'd be delighted if you found your wallet though.....

Long ago a friends dog we found hanging dead in a storm (jumping for a cat and going over a plank between trees earlier was our theory later) visited me /my mind months later.
I could see it's heads silhouette quite clearly at the foot of my bed. Facing one direction ,then another.
Been too long to recall what had been going on with me then. But there were only a small handful of folks (self included) who could get near that dog.
Be it warning ,or help ,it's existence sure felt real.

Hmmm ... I have some strange things happening...

LIKE...

My Rum bottles are all empty... and they WERE full.

:/

Last Friday, huh.... where'd you go, what'd you do? :icon_scratch:
Have you had visitors? Good you froze everything!
I've found my phone in the fridge before.... :laughing7:
(My tekker buddy lost her phone, under the seat of my car, for 6 months...) :laughing7:
Because, for the most part, I have a place for everything & everything in it's place,
believe it or not, lol....
If I set something down somewhere obscure, I'll walk away from it, and have to
search for it, usually the rest of the day! :BangHead:

Also craigslist, check it. There are some honest ppl out there.
See if anyone posted in your area, maybe make a post.
The only thing I can think, it's laying in the yard somewhere...
or the cat smacked it under the bed. :dontknow:

Sooo, the hubby walks home one night, from the bar up the street...
tells me the next morning, "I lost my phone. You need to get your
metal detector, go find it".
me: "Huh"? ???
him: "I fell down in the neighbors bushes last night, my phone fell outta my pocket".
me: "What were you doing in the neighbors bushes"?
him: "Peeing"
me: "Haven't I TOLD you to wait till you get to your own yard..."!!!! :director: :evil6:
him: "Go get my phone please".

Few minutes later, phone, $4+ in charge, a few bills.... :laughing7:
me: "How'd you manage to not lose your keys & wallet"?
him: "They were in my pants pockets". :walk: :drunken_smilie:

Hang in there, Deep... :notworthy:

Thanks Pat, I immediately went and checked craigslist after reading your response - nothing yet.

I'm an admitted hermit, went no where between my outing the previous Friday when I had to go to town for a haircut and supplies, and my outing yesterday. Right now I'm getting the pile of laundry up here washed - clearing space on my floor, cleaning up my secluded bachelor's mess. That wallet may be laying here somewhere!

Found it!!! I'm free again!

Clearing that space on the floor for laundry, don't know how it got there.

I must pledge to myself to do better with personal maintenance!!!

My self induced crisis is over :) Hope I learned, or earned, a good lesson!

Pet-tekker-cat-, doing better after three doses of antibiotics. Think it was an ear sinus thing that went after the newly repaired tooth.

THANK GOD its no fever or cough, if you know what I mean.

OR... if you buy something from one, you MAY take "something" else home with you, dunno.

Exactly. I’ve heard of it happening. An “attachment” is highly possible. Just like all the civil war relics I have in my closet, and in the bedroom. The rooms full of objects once used in war during action, or even dropped items could carry that same attachment.

I would bet you will find the wallet. I won't bet much however. Amoxicillian is giving a first class smack down to the tooth ear thing! I lose stuff all the time. Couldn't find my brand new thermometer. It was 18" from my hand under a pile of "stuff". I also have a brand new credit card lost in the house. It's on the dining room table, also known as the temple of the dining room table mound builders.

HUZZAH!
