All this time detecting and I've never found a seated until yesterday and it was big! 1866 S seated half! yessssssss. Had an amazing day. It was the ONLY coin we found the whole day.

Thanks guys! I'm still just sitting here staring at it. Can't believe it. Absolutely amazed. I just can't believe it took sooooooo long for me to hit a seated coin here in Idaho. I've found a 1798 draped bust LC here before I hit seated. But now the curse is broken and its on!

Just to think that I used to live in Idaho, but never detected there. I think that part Oregon trail was literally in my back yard!

Very nice and in good shape. Made up for that Barber half or whatever you stabbed with your shovel on the "Epic Road Tearout" video.

Awesome half, just a head up. There are 2 variety 1866s half dollars, you have the variety 2 which is moto above eagle.. Only difference between the 2 is about $1800.00 .. It happend to me before.. Found a merc dime with a d mark flipped it and it was a 1917. Never complain about silver though. Especially a specemin such a yours. Grats!
