I have found coin spills, Wheaties, silver dimes a silver bracelet but seeing that first glint of gold in the dirt was spectacular. I knew if I kept at it I would stumble across some gold sooner or later but I imagined a thin ring or an earring not Mr. T's bracelet

I hate to be a Debbie Downer, but have you tested it? it looks a little dull to be real gold. Is it just stamped 14k or is there also a maker's mark on it?
I have my doubts because I recently found a 20 inch "gold" chain and it was fake. It looked similar in color to your bracelet and it was stamped 14k. Took it to a jewelry shop and they told me it was gold plated.
Very smart move. The next time gold sky rockets it pass $2000/oz.Tim,
You got me thinking. I took it to the local "We Buy Gold" shop and had it acid tested. It's 14K. The guy low balled me at first and offered $270 to start then $300and as I walked out he said $400. I think I'll keep it a while.
