Again, today, I went for a very short but
concentrated "walk".

I was reasonably satisfied with the results.
Not much, granted, but each find was *interesting*!

I had just finished up about 2 hours and was actually
figuring on another 2-3 hours. But, I was saying to
myself, at that point, that these 2 hours weren't so
bad. I wasn't worn out and I actually had some finds.

It was then that my AT decided it wanted to go home.

Seems he was more tired than I thought! ;)

Thanks for peeking!

Sometimes it don’t have to be silver or gold to be a good hunt. You proved that by having an enjoyable hunt with some interesting finds. Good for you!!

You recovered some old stuff on your concentrated walk. That's where I am at with the shorter days and colder weather. Get on to it quickly!:icon_thumright:

Well done on the Polmalive Token. Wow,, that AT PRO has taken a few beatings. Time to visit the detector doctor. Congrats on your finds.

Yep sometimes short is better than long, the AT agrees.

Interesting array of finds.
Fishy is liking the milk glass pool, &
Blingie has his shiny Palmolive token.
Square nail, shell casing, buckle, and what could the item with the hooked end be? A mystery!

What is that?

Great finds, Whadi, will you be doing detector surgery on the ATPro? I hope you can get him fixed. Sub 8-)

Thanks, folks!

The hooked piece of whatever is probably some part of a water pump. like one of those hand crank things.

About AT being fixed? Does a bear? In the woods? ;-)
Yes, I most certainly am doing surgery on AT myself.
I will keep you apprised on the condition of the patient. LOL

AND.... Yes the Palmolive token is a real blessing on such a shortened hunt.
I have to admit though it was a real shocker too! I actually said out loud yikes!!

Thanks again!

Welp, I used some steel reinforced epoxy to glue the screw mountings back on
and I fattened those puppies with an extra layer. Then, I widened the holes
a bit. Remounted and added some black electrical tape for good measure.
(If this tape could hold together baseball bats & coverless baseballs when
I was a kid. Much to the chagrin of my father's toolbox. I figure it'll hold AT
together.:-) )

A full test is scheduled for tomorrow. :dontknow:

Whatcha think?

Glad to hear the AT is on the mend. While your in there maybe a circuit or two for...paper money and diamonds??

A pump handle, who knew. It would make a handy hook, taped to the end of a long stick.

The unexpected is a sweet surprise for sure.

Hope you get the AT up and running soon, we still have some great detecting days left to turn up some awesome surprises!

Nice hunt! :occasion14:

Sorry about the At Pro :BangHead:, a quick trip to Home Depot or Lowes to purchase a few curved securing brackets and you will be in business again. Of Course, the old standby - Duct tape will also work!

Gorilla tape comes in colours, even camo.:laughing7:
Nice assortment of finds, and surgical treatment for the machine.
