I'm sure it's Pareidolia.

I was hiking on the opposite side of the valley directly across from a Sunrise petroglyph. This side of the area is rarely if ever hiked only faint game trails.

I was hiking up and saw (pic1) and it just looked like a bear to me.

The rock is 6-7' tall roughly 5' wide and 2-3' thick.

I continued up hill, 30', and reached the main cliff band. About 40' to the left I saw this face. (The bottom portion of the rock was pretty worn away. The rock is a bad sandstone composite.)

The "face" is roughly 7' x 3'. The opposite side of the face is rough and did not look modified.

But like the title said, I'm 99% sure I'm just seeing things. If anything they look cool and thought I'd share.

I would say definitely not P. Look around more in the area and see.if there are other things in the area. It seems by your pics that there are. I would definitely pursue the area if I was you. Don't let people on this website tell you otherwise. There are a lot of disinformation and haters for some reason idk. But warning, by neighsaying what you found and trying to discredit it. They hope that you will in the attempt to prove otherwise give up the site location and specifics regarding what you found. Be carefull and know how to protect yourself. And always have fun.

So basically you're saying that there's something more than pareidolia.

Are you just assuming that this is in fact true?

I have read your post and I get a good sense that you are really somewhat defensive as you come back stating that the answer from a member is a "haters".
It's a very harsh tag line to call the great standing member and basically the forum.

I can say that given the commonsense and the thousands of years of accumulated knowledge that has been amassed on just this website forum IS NOT "DISINFORMATION".

It comes from the verb "naysay," which means "to refuse or oppose," and a "naysayer" is a person with a cynical or aggressively negative attitude. The term derives from the word "nay," which is an archaic form of "no".
Basically another slam on the member that posted a realistic answer to a legitimate question.

So why are you so negative, and bad mouthing the membership and forum.

Prove us wrong and share your recoveries of from the "image like figures".
Give us proof of other recoveries that these forms/images have proved to be the answer/path to a treasure or some information about one.

In reading, viewing stories, and from being on forums for decades I must if missed them.

Reminds me of a horse I once knew, that's all he ever did.

There are a lot of people who honestly believe that funny looking rocks like these are just funny looking rocks. They exist in literally every country on Earth. When people ask about them, if the only answers they get are from True Believers who say there is a massive treasure vault nearby, then all they get are the opinions of people who have a horrendously poor record of finding massive treasure vaults. It can drive a person to waste enormous time and money chasing something that was never there in the first place.

All that said, the face of the "bear" stone appears to have markings but they are badly eroded. Could be common graffiti, could be something else. The faces are pareidolia, being sandstone they probably looked quite different 100-200 years ago.

No one is preying on anyone, pareidolia is real as exhibited, many many times here in pictures.
