Interesting quartz

I've got boxes of quartz but I've never seen any like this. I picked this up out of a river this weekend. Notice how it's quartz but appears almost melted in the middle. It's smooth as could be. Also in the side view there is a streak of something unknown. And yes it'll get crushed and panned, just wondering your thoughts.



Oh also, I see a few glints in the flash but they look like silver or something

Appears to be mica but for positive ID simply use a knife blade on the shiny parts. If they crack, crunch or crumble just mica aka fools gold-John

I've seen some other streaks like that and yeah it's pretty soft material. What is really interesting to me though is the quartz being two different consistencies. In the first picture you can see it's almost like it has melted around part of the rock.

Most likely the two different consistencies are actually quartz and feldspar. With the clear being quartz and the milky mineral being a feldspar.
