Is it a Decoration?

This little guy measures 1 1/8 inch long. When I first picked it up I thought it was a flapper to a zip up overshoe. But when I got it home and examined it I could clearly see it is not. So I am wondering if it is an ornament to an Indians dress. Or am I way off base? Just wondering what you guys thoughts are on this piece.

Is it stone? Or copper? What size? What context was it found in? Any other things found nearby?

I believe it is copper. And I found it on the trail to the old sheep shed. I have found artifacts on this trail. It was just across our little bridge aways. There was also a dugout (dwelling in the ground of the first settlers of the area) near this area.

Old sheep shed, maybe if its copper its the inside piece of a bell that was worn by the sheep!Just a thought!

What does a side shot look like. Does it look like it is broken off anywhere? Questions questions. It could be an artifact it could be part of a cow or sheep bell. If an artifact it would be a very nice copper artifact.

First of all it is NOT part of a sheepbell! It is more comparable to rifle cartridge material. It is very thin.
