Is it possible to dowse a map for activity that happened in the past?

RKW....That is a poor map...All I can get from it is that the business was less than a 100 yards from the spring....I also get that there are visual clues there...If you could give us the State we may be able to get a better map...Art

The map printed out small and the detail is a bit blurry.I know where this is and can post a picture(not a map)of this area if I can get permission from RKW.Jon

Do you guys dowse the maps on screen or do you print it out? I have never dowsed maps for other people but I have a friend who has sent me one. Point me in the right direction
Or to any good teaching posts in the past that I should read about map dowsing for others. Do you use the pointer as a pendulum or hold one in one of your hands? I used a pendulum and agree with the spot marked just from using it on screen but this is the first time on trying on screen and it wasn't as aggressive as usual though it was clear. And it seems like there is a small deposit of some mineral in the gulch in the ne¼, sw¼, nw¼ of this map. I didn't go into it any farther as to what it is, it's just a mineral or small deposit.

I do mine on the computer screen...I just ask permission to do it that way...Art
