Is this a 1909-s penny? --Pictures--

I found this a while back in the year, I am 75% sure it is a 1909s, but I cannot be 100% sure. Opinions please? I modified the picture to make it more sharp looking so more details come out.

To me it looks like the number after the 19 is another 1. Doesn't look to be a 0. Can't even make out the 4th number.

just getting opinion, it looks much better under light with my 10x loupe, seems like a slight curve as to the 3rd number which would indicate a 0, and the last number is a 9, that is clear to me.

any tips on better scans? this is in 600 dpi, the highest quality my scanner goes.

Looks like 1915 to me, but I tried a few photoshop techniques to get a crisper look at it. Still really difficult to say.

I'd say for sure it's 191* maybe 1915-1916

Pictures look like two different coins. ONe a 1915 and the other a 1920. Odd how different angles and different pictures can create such a difference in look. I see clearly a 1915 in two pictures, but vaguely see 1920 in two others.

Are you sure this is one coin?? the 1920 looks more worn than the 1915 pics.

Check on the lower left shoulder of Lincoln for VDB if it is there it is a post 1917 Lincoln as the VDB initial were put there in 1918. If not, its a pre 1918 cent.

there is no VDB below the left shoulder. thanks for pointing this out. That means pre 1918?

I see a 1915s. I have to hold a magnifying glass up to my computer screen to see it, though, which would make it like 100x with the coin in hand. I don't see a second 9 at all. But the good news is a 1915s is still rare. Just not as rare ...

Thanks all for the contributions. I posted this up here since I did find this peny CRH back in March, figured i had nothing to do, so was playing with my scanner which I never scanned pennies before, not happy with the scan since the penny is so worn, and it shows up darker on the scanner.

1909s or 1915s, honestly, even if it was a 1909s, what is it worth, $20?? at most.
