The local park as produced so many coins, that gold had to eventually turn up. I was though expecting maybe a gold ring. When this 1890 queen Victoria gold sovereign, came gleaming from below the turf, I didn't complain. The signal just sounded like any copper coin. Robert.

Maybe you should just have it mounted to a gold ring! I used to have a gold sovereign ring when I lived in the UK.

Gold sov rings, where very popular . Not so much now.

Hello Bill, hammered give a signal on the Deus, that sounds like tin foil. In the park I simply have to ignore those type of signals. I dig the high pitch tones only. These tones cover milled silver coins, copper coins, silver items, and it would seem thankfully gold coins.

Hello a gold sovereign weighs 7.98 gram. Not weighed this one, our kitchen scales are not very good.

Only had them in the fields, never in a park. Although I did get a half guinea in a sort of parkland setting behind a manor house. I think that's my only turf gold coin.
