It's still out there - 11 SOLID ROLLS OF 1964s

I was making my penny and dime box run today picking up boxes, and the 1 bank I stopped at to ask for halves had 11 rolls. I'm sure glad I stopped there because when I got home I found out that they were all solid rolls of 1964s. Who rolls up and turns in 220 1964s for $110? Amazing.

Wow!

I was in one of my dump banks yesterday and the teller that was changing the bags told me last week someone came in and dumped a bunch of silver halves. He said he told them they were valuable and they said they just wanted to cash them in. Their father died and they were cleaning out the house. He said it must have been 600$ worth. He's not allowed to touch or sell the machine bags.

People! Tell your children about your collections! Or better yet don't so I can keep finding the stuff.

Both boys and my wife know that what is in the vault/safe is not to be sold at face value. I have even made arrangements with a dealer friend to take care of my stash should something happen to me.

Not quite sure if you caught this same type message that I almost posted on ArkieBass's finds, but voting for stuff on this forum to go to the banner is a massive bad idea. The last time people saw good finds like this, we wound up with a large amount of new people all over the place. If you enjoy the privacy of all the hunting you do, it is wise to keep great finds like this on this forum and enjoy them among people that actually do the hobby.
