Relic Hunting
We got out for a relic hunt today instead of going tomorrow. Kyle made plans to attend a church service with his new girlfriend. :dontknow::icon_thumleft: He told me numerous times, "She is a great woman, Buck." :laughing7: We arrived at many farms today, but a number of them no one was home. :dontknow: The one and only site we secured permission for was a total bust. :dontknow: :icon_scratch: There were iron signals, but nothing Colonial popped. :dontknow:

The site we secured permission for was next to the field that produced my Capped Bust half dime in December, so I decided to hunt that area again. :dontknow: I was swinging my coil in an area that had some iron and I picked up a nice reading. I was happy to dig a green copper. :hello2: It is identified as a King George III. :hello2: I can clearly see the bust of King George facing right. :icon_thumleft: My Colonial passion was satisfied for the hunt. :)

Keep the passion high! :icon_salut:

Kirk :hello:

Sounds like you could almost smell the skunk, but you managed to smell the colonial cologne of old King George instead

NICE :headbang:

It's tough to keep your mojo when a member of the group isn't out there, but hey you still got a KGIII.. I swear every time Josh and I went on solo hunts last year we were skunked. :laughing7:

A solo KGIII copper is a successful hunt anytime in my books! Congrats Kirk.

Don

We find them up here in Ontario too...they look the same (in condition),some of these are home made, get a Charlton book to check them out...good value in Blacksmith tokens. I am impressed with your getting permission habits,I do the same also...Dan

Thats the way to make it happen and come home with a coin Kirk! This is the year you turn that KG into GW!

You are the master of the stray coin Buck. The best part of the day was when Kyle deflated before our eyes.
