Largest Sports Medal I've Found Yet

Hi all,

I went out to a few places over the weekend and found a few things..one of which was this big sports medal at my old junior high football field..why I found a basketball medal in a football field, God only knows!

It was great to hunt over the weekend, it was cloudy and actually cool and breezy for once..it was also the weekend I hit the $300 mark for clad since the year started..a first for me!

HH,
Nat

Hey that's a BIG Medal, congrats on the $300 worth of clad coins. Man you must be in great shape.

After digging over 100 coins last sunday, I could hardly walk yesterday. LOL

HH, Ringfinder

P.S. I found over 4000 clad coins last year, but don't think I'll make that count this year. But I'm working on it. LOL

Natman

Don't go swimming with that medal around your neck or we'll have to come looking for you! Nice going on the $300. That should keep you in battries for a while. HH

Re: Largest Sports Medal I've Found Yet

Happy 4th of July everyone..and thanks for the kind words, it's been a fun year for me, I got my detector last September and have been having a ball with it..I've run out of places to look as far as area schools and parks..the reason I found so much this year is because I've traveled further to different places I've never been to..I'll be
concentrating on the private yards more in the future, I find such cool stuff in them because they have never been searched by anyone.

I must be in the best shape I've ever been in..between my lawn service and this hobby of mine I've actually done more physical work in the last 5 years than at any other time in my life..who needs aerobics and gyms when you have this all going for you

Willie the machine read it between a quarter and 50 cents so I thought it was a coin at first..I still shake my head at certain objects, wondering how the heck these large items in such a public area get lost and buried without anyone noticing them..

Take care all and have a safe holiday.

Congrats Nat.
No wonder they lost the medal, the chain couldn't hold it!

Goodwork on $300 mark keep going....I am focused on 10,000 coins...I am a goal setter! Sorry if some don't like it. Here is something I found earlier in year shocked me when I picked it up! A McDonalds gridiron coin..

Re: Largest Sports Medal I've Found Yet

I'M PRETTY SURE THAT THIS MEDAL IS FROM A FREE THROW CONTEST THAT THEY USE TO HAVE YEARS AGO. STILL DO IN ALOT OF AREAS AS WELL. ANYWAY JUST THOUGHT I WOULD PUT MY 2 CENTS WORTH IN
