I suspect you are aware of my $25,000 challenge which is where the $50k comes from. But, yeah, if it's a wager I'll put up $50k against your ability to dowse a golf ball's location. But it has to be done with some rigor: a golf ball hidden in 1-of-N marked locations, and you have to dowse the correct location with an X% success rate. Interested?
Its one of the best ideas to test the concepts, i have just read up on golf balls. They glow very bright in UV flash lights, so people recover them at night with greater efficiency than in day time, no detectors would easily detect them.
Where is your original test protocol and challenge posted? Does it involve golf balls?
The well known historical test scenarios of dowsing and the many controversies to "prove it", for me, it doesn't cut it, even if the "dowsers" succeeded more than "chance" at some of these historical tests mentioned in articles, i personally wouldn't take it seriously as proof. And you would also probably say, these guys were just lucky... Am i correct? After my own studies, experiments on myself, and many other test subjects, i have determined dowsing
does not work the way many would say. The test setups were wrong, and definitely the dowsers too, maybe this was deliberate or just ignorance, its not how i would test it to skeptics. I mean Randi's test area was 10x10 meters, got to be kidding me, minimum 100x100m, even 200x200m is better.
My honest opinion is, dowsers who participated in these tests most probably couldn't dowse correctly, and definitely used incorrect methodology, they were not evaluated by researchers serious enough in the "art" they were going to "prove". Look at what is going on this
forum, you have EMF suit dowsers, admitting they cannot dowse or even prove it, spamming and arguing, never once applying the most basic protocols of this art. Invalid dowsers + Invalid Test proves nothing.
As skeptic you ought to know, choosing the worst of the worst dowsers in the world to conduct your business of skepticism, it makes me skeptical of the skeptics, are you guys for real, or is this a joke? Anything can proven or disproved if you are experimenting inside the local psychiatric hospital. The skeptics are not rigorous enough in my own opinion, they are happy with outcomes good enough to convince lay people.
I propose the
Bushwhacker Golf protocol
It is the final boss level test of dowsing,
thousands of times, more difficult and rigorous than Randi could have ever imagined, he was generous, and almost desperate in allowing dowsers to "dictate" their terms of success, some sources say 60% or 80% correctness to take his money. Some dowsers apparently claimed 100%, they all failed according to Google, and so dowsing was debunked forever in the mickey mouse test scenarios with most dowsers choosing to remain anonymous, some famous ones which i didnt even care to Google. The Bottom line is they all failed, Randy kept his money, and so dowsing is debunked "forever", thank you have a nice day.
Under the Bushwhacker Golf protocol, nothing less than 100% accuracy is accepted, definitely no EMF suits, no gimmick L-rods with frequencies or sample containers, no witchcraft, no maps or bones, even sasquatch teeth are banned unfortunately. Dowsers are banned too, thats right, nobody who has made any claims about dowsing or done any prior research should play. The area must be thoroughly blasted by 1G/2G/3G/4G/5G frequencies from nearby RF towers, just to spice the challenge up.
The Bushwhacker golfers are told
only what they need to know, to hold and observe their only golf ball, then to whack it out into
the bushes more than 100m, long grass, corn fields, whatever works... At night time without moon light. If there is a river, noise would be helpful to eliminate the golfers to hear where their ball fell.
They now receive 15 minutes of training+instruction from someone that meets this criteria, 1) non mentally ill dowsing researcher 2) active Bushwhacker golfing Wizard.
Thereafter they are sent into the dark bushes alone to retrieve their only golf ball, with some bent welding wires, which must be found within 15 minutes depending on the terrain challenges, they can only use the UV light, it helps in the grass.
The process is repeated 5 times, if the ball is lost, mission failed, if the golfer gives up or expresses doubts, mission failed.
If the ball comes back, the Bushwhacker golfer survived the tigers, ghosts, snakes and sasquatches - he passes and gets accepted
into the Bushwhacker Science Society for even more difficult challenges.
What is proven by the Bushwhacker golfing protocol is that dowsers are the problem in testing, random test subjects can perform almost flawlessly.
