This hobby can be funny sometimes when a difficult find comes before an easy one, and the easy one just doesn't want to come.

So what was your hard find before the easy one?

I found a 1795 Large Cent but still haven't found my first Merc dime!

When I started MDing, my first silver coin was a Walking Lib Half. Since then I've found another, but I think I've only found one silver Washington quarter.

I've found a 174X George II halfpenny, but still haven't found pre-1900 silver!

I have been hunting for 41 years and have found most every type U.S. coin there is. I have found all mercs. and all I.H.P. I am missing a couple of barbers several seated and alot of bust coins. I only have 1 U.S. gold (1 dol.) and would love to find some other gold coins. This is what makes us keep going back to find what we haven't found before "You never know what the next dig will bring" Even a white's can't tell?

I don't think you're really that funny...

That's ok. It was funny to me when I wrote it. Maybe the 4 cups of coffee helped but I can live with it.

I have found a 1864 half-dollar and lots of silver dimes, but, no silver quarter or gold coin.

I found a Hard Times Token but i've yet to find a Indian head cent.
I found enough clad for a "better" detector but i've yet to buy one.
