They all are beautiful examples. I liked that last post. Are you sure you are not an Archeologist during the day?:tongue3:

Thanks big time TN !!!!

That would be my dream job !!!!

This Plainview is made of plate chalcedony, the same material you see what they call Badlands Knives made from. It is normally found in veins about 3/16ths thick. It's found in Nebraska, the Badlands of South Dakota, and I am assuming North Dakota's badlands as well. The material doesn't show flaking well, but it is a very high quality material imo. I have only found this material once here in eastern sd, and that was a 2 inch x 2 inch pre-form.

Them are nice I like the black one in your hand !!

Okay...I have a LOT of catching up to do. Here's my box of faves-- which got knocked over by my youngest cat...so although most of my all-time favorites are okay, many are flea-bitten and less than as perfect as they were when I found them. BTW all my pieces are found by me, and all in the Delmarva area of mid-Atlantic coast.

In the 4th pic, the longest ones are @ 4 3/4" (sorry for no scale object)

Thanks for looking! Yak

Very nice variety of points. Thanks for showing them, rock

very nice collection !!!!

here are a few good ones I have found. All were found at the river site I hunt except for the banded slate bar weight. I found it on my own farm embedded in a dry creek bed several hundred yards from a camp site. It is the only thing I have found there. It has talley marks all the way around the top of it.

I knew it was going to be good when I saw huntress had posted. You have a great collection.

Wow Huntress- those are awesome pieces! That bar weight...oooph. That puppy's GREAT! Those points are nothing to sneeze at either- esp. the quad. Thanks for the show-- and happy hunting! Yak
