Lots of driving today!

Hey Gang.....Trying to find some new ground today, I decided to take a road trip about 25 miles away. Researched the local schools and any parks I could find. Went to most of the schools I had mapped out, but couldn't find a couple of them. I ran out of daylight and had to head back home! Pickins were real slim out there. I'm not sure what's up. These places looked like they've never been hunted before, but I could be wrong. The highlight of the day for me was finding the dollar bill on the ground, just laying there big as you please. After sifting through my clad, I did find a 1933 Wheatie. Yay! Also found a 1984 Canadian Quarter. Total clad for the day - $4.61, not including the Canadian. Total miles driven today - 102.6! Seems like those numbers should be turned around!!

Well, I had a good time and got to see places I've never been to before. I'm bushed! See what I mean about the schools being locked down? Guess they think the little critters might escape! Gates were open today though......

Better than being cooped up. Your finds are all good...all that clad adds up. I know what you mean about security fences around the schools...seems like they all have em here. Congrats on the $.

Thanks guys. It was a gorgeous day here in SC. Gonna do it again tomorrow. Suppose to be near 70 degrees. Woohoo!! Hopefully I'll have better luck than I had today.

Ya did good Moon.... let us know how ya make out tomorrow.... we here in NJ are supposed to have a couple warm days..so you know where I will be... getting down n dirty..ahhh dont ya just love that..lol, I sure do. Am I the only one with dirt marks on my jeans where I rub the coins..lol.... I come home looking like I rolled in the dirt...god I love it.

congrats on the finds moon wtg, we know about some of the schools being gated, there are some counties we visit where half the schools are gated, the gated ones are set aside for days like teacher work days when kids arent there

I like taking road trips to new places too. I hate those locked tot lots. Florida seems to have them all locked up too...

Yeah, those pesky gates drive me nuts, but I got lucky the past two days and found schools with the gates wide open. Unfortunately, the kiddies didn't leave me any goodies. Sometimes I just wonder if I'm doing something wrong. Other days though, I seem to be doing it right! Who knows!
