Imagine finding someone stash of gems possibly from hundreds of years ago. That happened. Take a look for yourselves. Found this rock which weighs roughly 4 or 5 lbs rock hunting alo kn g a river. I was shocked to find these little shiny pebble type chunks inside. Dont know what they are yet but will keep you posted.!! 20180412_193619.jpg20180412_193603.jpg20180412_194010.jpg20180412_194010.jpg20180412_193710.jpg20180412_194837.jpg20180412_185159.jpg

All of these look a lot like sand stone... there is a lot of it around. Years ago it was used for foundations, walls, steps, cellars, walk ways etc. Portland cement was also used. I've got it on my steps, retaining walls and barn foundation from 1926-1928-29. It was used before and after that as well.

There are a lot of knowledgeable people here that know stones and rocks... I'm Not one of them but I do know sand stone and from the pictures you've shown, to me that's what it looks like.

Keep Hunting You Might Just Find The Big Nugget! Good Luck!
