Back in the pit again today and i've come to the conclusion these folks liked to stick with what they liked. Found another Von Hopf's Curacoa bitters identical to the other one i found. Must say this one is in better condition and the embossing is much bolder. Found another broken one as well. Also found another broken gothic pepper sauce (that is the 3rd broken one). But i did manage to find '2 smaller sauce keepers i am happy to say. Found a broken cone ink and several more broken beers. Found another perfume , same brand as previous perfume. And down a little deeper i found this deep green bottle that i really like. It is very heavy and appears to be a 3 pc mould. Some help from the pros on this one would be much appreciated. Thanks for looking...Bass.

You have an awesome spot there bass. Those pepper sauces are awesome. And three piece bottle is an ale bottle probably from England. It's a shame that conical is broken is it green? All the ones I have recovered are usually just aqua. Man I need to go dig.

Thanks and i know how fortunate i was to find this pit. Anyone that says they didn't drop bottles in privies in the rural south is full of you know what. I basically found this pit by chance and i'm gonna ride it to the end. These pits are few and far between in my neck of the woods. Yes, the ink was green and my heart sank when i saw it was broken. My son is gonna come with me next weekend and i am gonna let him take over so he can find some.

That's so cool that your son is in to digging I could only hope my little girl will catch the bug when she's old enough. Who knows what's in that pit you could come across something absolutely amazing. Your soil down there looks wicked easy to dig opposed to up here in New England where I have to dig out huge boulders.

Here, the deeper you go the wetter it gets. I'm pretty sure there's at least 2 more feet to dig so i've got my fingers crossed that he'll find something

Good luck with the rest Bass, you've got a great spot. I hear what you're saying RelicDude. I haven't dug in a long time, and when I do the rocks are certainly frustrating. I've been digging a dump for a while which has been really annoying because when they finished using the dump, they poured grapefruit sized rocks over it. Makes for hard digging.

That sounds like CT to me lol I've thought about investing in a hand winch to help get the rocks out of my river bank.

CT is definitely rocky. I think the rocks in my dump were dug during farming and plowing, and they probably were a little small to use in rock walls or anything so they used them for a kind of cap for the dump.

Thank you I don't think I've seen a cathedral with a round bottom like that before. Does anyone know who manufactured these cathedrals? I'm just trying to figure out how to date these.

Right to left, the larger one is I.G.Co. , the next is 137, and the last one appears to be D, double-stamped
