Okay, it's not quite as exciting as the lovely Ladies of Liberty from yesterday, but, better than a sharp pine needle in the eye!
So I went back out to the decommissioned camp in the forest for a couple hours today. I guess I covered it pretty well because all I was finding was scout neckerchief slides, tent stakes and other random camping junk. Then I get this nice silver tone in the quarter range and up comes this...
Whaaaat?
I couldn't tell what the heck it was, other than definitely silver. I looked it up when I got home, and it turns out to be a Franklin Mint commemorative mini silver ingot of a 1910 Mexican 5 pesos banknote! Bizarre. What was this thing doing at an old decomished camp ground out in the forest?
Anyway, silver is silver. I'll take it!
