Greetings,
This has been an interesting thread! Dang, $25,000 smackers for that test, heck I would sure try it, win or lose! I was taught never to gamble more money than you can afford to lose, you sure must either have loads of money or be supremely confident that the test will fail. What if the person doing the dowsing is just
lucky enough to hit? Would that prove dowsing works, or not? This is a real problem with
testing dowsing or any sort of intuitive finding methods - how is it possible to
utterly rule out the pure chance element?
I am a
neophyte where dowsing is concerned, never tried it with things of value, only water lines and electric lines, which seems to work
very well. My problem is how on earth do you differentiate between a "hit" (rods crossing) over a water pipe, versus over a buried electric cable or a vein of gold? In my own (very limited) experience, I get the rods crossing in the identical way for both electric lines and water pipes. So, if the eggs were placed out on a field which just happened to have a power line buried in it, or a spring of water, I would sure get "hits" on the wrong things! How can you tell the difference?

If there is a sure-fire way, I will be happy to take that test for $25k!!! However if in losing I would have to PAY that amount, it will have to be on the time-payment plan!
