Decided to go out today because the wife was out with friends. I thought, hmmm what can I do? I grabbed my gear and left work an hour early to go dirt digging. 2 hours into my hunt and I have an axe head, 2 quarters, 3 dimes, 11 pennies (1 wheat 1930's) and other odds and ends. It was getting late so I kept saying to myself time to go time to go. An hour later I started to head for the car but I kept swinging while I walked doing one of those last ditch efforts to nab a good find at the last moments of the hunt that we all do, 30 ft from where 1 week earlier I found my first silver ring I get a good signal. I said ok one more dig, it payed off with my second and third silver rings. They have been cut, presumedly to fit some big fingers but they had been looped around one another, I probably looked like a crazed lunatic yelling haha. Overall though a good day for me :) Thanks for reading if you made it this far ! HH

You are a silver magnet, congrats.

Weird that the rings are both cut. Maybe they were cut off in some medical emergency where the fingers were swollen so bad the rings were cutting off the circulation?
Anywho. Nice finds!

I live in a small town that is the very end of the oregon trail, the historic site is about 5 miles from my house. While searching a college grounds near there was just doing some hunting on a soccer field when all of a sudden my detector lights up from huge iron every where. I walk to a tree that looks different with some random blooming flowers near it and stumble upon a 1939 quarter that had been pushed to the surface by this big trees roots. Needless to say, I've been hunting there 10 hrs a week since. 3 silver rings and a quarter plus 100's of other odds and ends and big iron pieces. It's my secret spot. I'm sharing that though cause I've hunted the cap out of it already.

Thanks for the comments !

Newbie old fart here. Glad to see so many guys with 250's doing so well. Just pulled the trigger yesterday on a new ace250 for my grandson/wife's detector, have not decided what to get for myself yet since I'm still waiting for the winter to end. JC your find really has me excided---Larry
