Baker's Creek Projectile Point

Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:

This is a small to medium triangular expanding stem point with an elliptical cross section. The blade is primarily straight, but may be excurvate. The shoulders are horizontal to a slight upward angle. The stem is expanding with a straight to convex base. This point has a random flaking pattern.

Size Measurements: Length - 43 to 78 mm (55 mm average), Stem Length - 12 to 18 mm (16 mm average), Blade Width - 23 to 28 mm (21 mm average), Stem Width - 21 to 3278 mm (23 mm average), Thickness - 7 to 10 mm

Can you give us something for size reference please? It may be a Brewerton as 1320 pointed out, but it has more of a Woodland look to me with those large notches and it looks like one tang is missing and the base may be damaged. More views would help as well. Thanks.

Its been resharpened so much it might be hard to get a real ID on it but I see Woodland flaking.

The large bulbous stem would suggest "Big Slough" Middle Archaic 7000 to 4000 BP Found in your area.
Nice find!
