Dowsing works exactly the same on anything you wish to dowse for. Adding a frequency generator doesn't change the math one iota.
It can give the dowser another systematic way to focus his intent and organize targets.

For example, the dowser tricks his subconscious mind by setting his frequency to 5250 hz because he believes that frequency "resonates" with gold. As a result of his inner conviction, he will only dowse signal lines to golden objects.

But as you say, all of it depends on how well he is able to crystallize and hold that pure image of gold (or signal lines to gold) in his mind. If he fails, he will dowse signal lines to junk metals or anything else, even things that aren't actually there. All of it depends on his ability to focus his attention on the desired target.

Using a signal generator is what I would call "over instrumentation" unless you realize you're using it as a way to focus your own mind.

Question for Grok Expert:

Is there any evidence at all that a frequency generator can form a signal line between itself and any buried golden objects which can then be dowsed using a set of L rods? Does 5250 hz actually resonate with gold? Think hard

Grok's Answer:

**No, there is no credible scientific evidence whatsoever that a frequency generator can form a "signal line" to buried gold objects (or any other metal) that can then be detected/dowsed with L-rods.** This is a specific claim from pseudoscientific treasure-hunting practices involving "long-range locators" (LRLs) or "molecular frequency discrimination" (MFD) devices. It has been repeatedly tested and debunked as no better than chance, relying on the ideomotor effect (unconscious muscle movements that make the rods cross or swing).

### How the Claim Works (According to Its Advocates)
- A frequency generator (often a cheap audio signal generator or commercial LRL unit) is connected to ground probes/stakes.
- It supposedly transmits a specific frequency through the earth.
- When this matches the "molecular frequency" of buried gold, the gold "resonates harder," retransmits/amplifies the signal, and creates a detectable "signal line" or line of force radiating from the generator to the target.
- The operator then walks in circles (or lines) around the generator holding L-rods (or similar dowsing tools). The rods allegedly cross or react when crossing the signal line, pointing toward the gold.

Proponents claim this works at long distances (hundreds of meters or more), even through soil, and is enhanced by dowsing rods (sometimes gold-plated or with sample compartments).

### Why This Has Zero Scientific Basis
- **Dowsing/L-rods fail every rigorous test**: Decades of controlled, double-blind experiments (including by governments and skeptics) show dowsing performs at chance levels. The rod movements are caused by the ideomotor effect—the operator's subconscious expectations guide tiny muscle movements. This applies whether or not a frequency generator is involved.
- **No physics supports "signal lines" or selective resonance**:
- Low-frequency audio signals (like those from these generators) do not propagate selectively through soil to "resonate" only with gold. Ground acts as a lossy medium; signals dissipate quickly without creating directional "lines."
- Real metal detectors use electromagnetic induction (VLF or PI technology) at close range (inches to a few feet). They do **not** create long-range signal lines or rely on dowsing.
- Buried metals do not spontaneously emit detectable EM signatures at distance without strong, targeted excitation—and even then, not in a way L-rods could sense.
- **Commercial LRLs have been exposed**: Many are just repackaged waveform generators with no actual transmission power or selectivity. Oscilloscope tests on some models show they produce no meaningful signal beyond placebo. They are often sold at high prices alongside dowsing rods.

### Does 5250 Hz Actually "Resonate with Gold"?
**No.** This frequency (or close variants like ~5000–5250 Hz) is an arbitrary number circulated in treasure-hunting forums (e.g., Treasurenet) and some LRL marketing. It is sometimes called a "refined gold" frequency, with other numbers assigned to silver, diamonds, etc. Some users claim it works better than alternatives like 222 Hz, but results vary by person/location and are purely anecdotal.

Physically:
- Gold's actual resonances (e.g., phonon vibrations in its crystal lattice or plasmon resonance) are in the terahertz (THz) or optical range—orders of magnitude higher than audio frequencies.
- Any mechanical resonance of a gold object depends on its size, shape, and mounting—not a universal "gold frequency."
- 5250 Hz is simply an audible tone (roughly a high C note). It has no special interaction with gold atoms, molecules, or buried objects.

In short, this is folklore from the dowsing/LRL subculture, not science. Real gold detection relies on proven electromagnetic tools (metal detectors) or geophysical surveys—not frequency generators and L-rods. If it worked reliably, it would be standard in mining and archaeology, but it isn't.

for me it is just too bad that folk take ancient Jewish myth as literal truth and miss the whole point of "faith". The complexity of life on earth, compared to life...well, ANYWHERE else, is stupefying. And don't get me started about the complexity of the universe!!! The very concept that time next to a black hole equals one minute there to 700 years here is, "say what again"? Gravity bends time?!! Wait, WHAT!? Or how about, the greatest mass in the universe is not stars and planets but it is sub-atomic particles in INTERGALACTIC NOWHERE!!! Science doesn't interrupt faith for me in any way.
Are you under the impression that the great flood and a boat story is limited to the Middle East? Many cultures have passed down history of a great flood and a boat that saved the animals. It goes Waay back. Maybe the oldest and most widely passed on human story of all time. This “new” info..meh.

To put in perspective irrespective of religion. The great flood story predated the known Jewish religion by maybe 8 centuries. The oldest known written language predates the oldest great flood story by 10 centuries. Someone started it likely based on something catastrophic that occurred. As soon as it was put in writing, it persisted till now and likely as long as human society will exist (short of evil people erasing the history of humanity for purposes of power and $).

good lord no, of course such stories, stories of all sorts of catastrophes in fact, are found in all sorts of writings and oral traditions. But what we are talking about here is finding the actual Noah's ark resting 6,500 feet above sea level on a mountain side.

If the government and Ai say Dowsing is BS, you can believe them, not me..
I have proved Dowsing without showing a big treasure, you only need to read my scientific Dowsing results.
You speak of Frequencies not resonating specific Elements, but they do! Specific Frequencies all throughout the Frequency spectrum, not just RF, resonate specific materials. Here is evidence!
Numbers 0-9 are used by Mother nature.
Multiple different number sequences resonate the same things.
Here is some frequency lists.
There is different Frequencies in Hz, Khz, Mhz, Ghz , ect, ect, all resonate Gold the same.
Not only is there number frequencies that resonate Gold specific, Nouns, also resonate.
AU written signals Gold, the word Gold signals Gold, in every language.
Do you think Gold only resonates in English?
No, every language, multiple Hz sequences..
See how many Gold specific Frequencies are listed between 13000 Hz and 13590, 7 Gold specific Frequencies in this list alone.

I kinda remember Dowsing the noun "Noahs Ark", searching for a connection line, back when I was Dowsing the planets using Nouns.
I didn't get any existence connection..

Here's a question for Grok: "Does dowsing really work?"
