New Poll: Who has found Reales, Who has found gold coins?

Found a small cache of 22 coins in the desert a few years ago. From 1 Reale to 8 Escudos. I still have one of the 1 Escudo gold pieces (it was spiked in the entrance). Pics of a few of them in my photo section.

Found in Florida and New Jersey over about 7 years of detecting.

What type of sites in NJ did you find those type of coins at? Farm, Beach, Home Site, etc.??

I would love to find something like that.

7 half reals and 2 1 Reals Zip Gold coins but I have been standing next to a guy who founda 5 dol gold, That sucked

No gold coins, don't really ever expect to find one, if so, hope it is a Colonial era one.

Spanish Silver, I am not sure how many my son has, since we hunt the same sites, I know he is close to my figures, but I have the following.

5 One Real
15 Half Real

All found one at a time, all found within 25 miles or so of home.

2- 8 Reale both 1806 found along the Missouri river banks, 1-1816 2 Reale, 2 & 1 Reale cobbs one 17?? the other 1690's both holed a few marevedis late 1600's. All coins found it Iowa.

Found a 1/2 reale cut coin from the 1715 plate fleet wrecks, never got a gold coin myself, but have seen 3 found while hunting with others.

I found a 1780's 1/2 reale last year. I just found my first cob(1664) this year.

Update. I found a 1752 1/2 reale and a 1781 1/2 reale...
