Next Ohio Detectorists Association Meeting! Wednesday, August 8th 6pm

Have you ever wondered what an 1865 US 2 cent coin sounds under your coil? How about a silver 3 cent piece? Ok, you might know what it sounds like but what if that coin is next to a rusty nail?

Did you know there were almost 20,000,000 US Gold $1.00 coins minted from 1849 to 1889?

Come join us at the next Ohio Detectorists Association meeting where we will be allowing you the opportunity to see what tons of items sound like.

Just a few of the rarely seen coins we will have for you to test:

Silver coins including a US Trime
Copper coins including a King George
Nickel coins including a nickel U.S. three-cent piece!
US Gold $1.00 Coin

Come to test your ID skills and learn what you might be passing over in the ground.

We will be spinning the Criteria Wheel and awarding silver, so Bring your finds from July for the Finds of the Month contest!

Sandwiches, chips, cookie and a water will be available for only $5.00

Please bring a metal detector! :)

If your new to the hobby test some other members machines.

We hope to see you there!!

More about the Ohio Detectorists Association:

The Ohio Detectorists Association (ODA) is a club of avid metal detectorists. We represent members from Southwest Ohio. With over 100 members we are one of the largest clubs in Ohio.
*
The interests of our members span the entire range of metal detecting, including coin shooting, park hunting, relic hunting, and everything in between. We are all about saving history through the use of metal detectors.
*
Some of our members are novices, and some are experts, but all are willing to share their experiences and metal detecting tips, and help out others who are just starting out in the hobby.
*
Ohio Detectorsits Association (ODA) is heavily involved with the community finding lost valuables for folks in our area, offering metal detecting services to Law Enforcement, and working with Historical Societies and local museums.
