I believe it depends on the machine you are checking, Wicka. We only have one machine here we've used & there's a magnet underneath where you dump your coins into the machine that if you're slick enough (& strong enough because it is a VERY strong magnet) you can pull any coins off the magnet that have been left behind.

Can you send me a link of what your machine looks like Mrs. Crh? (My machine just rejects all foreign and such)

It's very helpful for dumping with the exception that it doesn't take much to fill up the bags. If you are dumping in large amounts it isn't worth it because you will piss the tellers off because they will keep having to change the bags out. We've asked if they could up the amount that goes in the bags because they are hardly full at all when they pull them out & they told us this is what the courier is requesting the bags to be filled to :/ They just don't want to carry heavier bags (both courier & tellers)...lame! You'd think they could just bring a flat bed cart out to get the bags so they wouldn't have to carry them & up the amount the bags can hold so they wouldn't have to come change the bags as often.

Oh man how easy would life be if I had a free coin machine....oh well. What I want to know is how many ice scrapers have you won in the guess the count contest it has after you dump your coins? ......(read the whole article) .

I only have coinstar in my area. Is there anything besides the reject tray to search? Such as a magnet on those ?

Haha no need for ice scrapers in Florida (unless your a/c freezes up from running so much). But we do have a collection of mini hand sanitizer bottles which comes in handy while CRHing on the go

I always wondered what those "penny arcades" were that people kept referring to...

Hahah, I literally thought people were referring to an old school penny arcade..lol, idk I guess I thought they still had those in someplace of the country.

How do you do Magnet finds? I see a few people posting "Magnet finds"

I got these coins from a local CU. They know me very well, and just open the machine up and give me the magnet/inside tray finds. I am not allowed to take American money, but I can take everything else.
